Studio one midi learn2/1/2023 ![]() ![]() ![]() I'd like to be able to have control over recording my drums/percussion inside Studio One and also be able to mix individual sounds within Studio One's mixer. So what is the best option? I don't really want to mix my drums/percussion inside of Maschine because I have plug-ins and things I like to do inside of Studio One. I lose the option of being able to mix individual sounds from each group inside Studio One because I'm not using Sounds to MIDI Channels mode. One of my Studio One MIDI tracks picks up the signal from the Drums group, another MIDI track picks up the Percussion group. This works well inside Studio One since I'm using Sounds to MIDI Notes mode. Using Maschine, I'm assuming the best option would be to have a group for drums and another for percussion. In most of my songs, I record both drums and percussive elements. This is different from Group MIDI Batch Setup > Sounds to MIDI Channels, where individual sounds are routed to each individual output (1-16). I noticed that this allows an entire group's 16 sounds to be played through a single output. In Maschine I recently discovered Group MIDI Batch Setup > Sounds to MIDI Notes. ![]() Inside Studio One, I have an instrument track of Maschine and 15 other MIDI tracks set up to correspond with Maschine's 16 outputs. I'm using Maschine as a slave inside my DAW, Studio One. ![]()
